Hi guys,
I won't post on Vox anymore but on Blogger. Just click here!
Yep, the new commercial for Chanel n*5 has arrived! I love the mix between ancient and modern times...
This week I happened to go on France 24 website and found this interesting, and at the same time puzzling, article about racism referring to the UN convention on racism. To illustrate their idea, they decided to show a picture of the most famous political personality in the world: B. Obama... in white and black! Here is the result:
The computerized pic is quite scary isn't it!!! What do you think?!
Then, they offer you to do a Harvard "Project implicit" test in order to find out what's your level of racism. I haven't done it because they ask so much information about yourself before you can even start doing it! If you have the patience to talk about yourself before being curious about your racist tendencies, go ahead! You can even test yourself on: Obama/Mac Cain, religion, weight, presidents, sexuality, weapons, etc. Enjoy!
I did my second trip to Taiwan this Easter. The first time I've been was 3 years ago to Taipei. This year's trip was to discover the nature of this wonderful country: I went hiking with my hiking group for 2 days in the mountains of Taiwan. More specifically: Mt.Chilai South. That was at the same time a challenging and grateful experience! We were 21 pals, and the atmosphere was very friendly. Here are some pictures underneath to give you an idea of this adventure!
A little banner in the name of our group to welcome us at the airport! Wow!
Impressionant !
Galia, our group organizer, and the 2 guides that took us to the 2 peaks.
Just to give you an idea of the kind of landscapes we had to hike through!
After the 1st hike, we had to sleep in a lodge with the minimum provided. We were 40 to sleep in the same room! Very hard to find your sleep with the cold and the others snoring around you! Besides, the night was very short: we had to wake up at 2 the next morning! Interesting experience, but honestly, I couldn't do this all year long! Once in a while is fine! ;-)
The 2nd day, wake up call at 2 in the morning to hike up to the 1st summit (which is at more than 3000 m). We hiked for 2,5 hours in the dark with our head lamps, hats, gloves, scarves and warm coats, in order to see the sun rise. Tiring, but worth it!
Proud to be at the top, but so cold (not far from 0 degree, plus the wind)! The view was wonderful!
View just after the sun rise.
Vue juste après le lever du soleil.
On top of the 2nd summit! (Height of the mountain on the red sign!)
En haut du 2e sommet ! (Hauteur du sommet sur le panneau !)
Back to civilization the 4th day! We went back to Taipei to have a decent sleep in a very comfortable bed! As we had half a day before our flight back to Hong Kong, I headed to a temple were people were making their prayers... After this, I had a great shoulder and foot massage.
Last small group pic before taking the plane!
More pics available: here on my flickr, and there on Annie's album (one of my hiking mate) , and finally over here on Galia's album (the best hikes organizer!)
Bonne chance a eux !
How to get there?! Take the MTR to Tung Chung. Then take a cab to the YMCA (in Tung Chung of course). When you are facing the YMCA building, on your right side there is a footbridge. Take it, and follow the sign to the Hau Wong temple. Pass the temple, cross the river and walk for 10 mns until you see the sign C00. The hike starts there and goes until C30.
I recommend to do the hike when there is a clear and sunny weather to enjoy the wonderful view.
Hey guys,
Today I was on Twitter and one of my "twitter pal" put a link to this video about a guy talking about the 25 things he hates on FB. Have a look and tell me what you think about it!

24. Being invited by unknown people
25. Not being able to eliminate definitely my account when I will...
Last Saturday, I went on a night hike with some of my hiking group budies. At first, the idea may sound crazy, but when you live it, it is a great experience! We started at 7.30 near Hong Kong Park View (we took the Hong Kong trail), to finish at 11.30 at Sai Wan Ho (10 mns away from the MTR station).
I was totally dead at the end! The leaders got lost a bit: not easy to look at a map with only a torch, some light from the moon and some faraway buildings! Plus, your orientation during the night is not the same than during the day! So, getting lost was part of the deal!
Even though I was very happy of the new experience, after 2.5 hours, I couldn't see the end of it! The slopes up and down were much steeper than I thought. The ground was sleepery. As a good part of the hike was in the bushes, the trees were our friends to help us going up and down. Good exercise, but bad feeling for your knees, hard to catch up your breath sometimes, but such a good sensation when it is finished! ;-) Everybody was so happy to see the road, cars and buses! We usually hike to get rid of all this civilisation, but when we get lost in Nature and cannot find our way, at some point, we miss our city... We are never happy with what we have!
Another night hike for sure, but an easier level will be more than welcome!
Wow! That was an experience! Jumping from a plane at 8000 feet! I was very scared but I'd like to do it again!
Here you will find a slideshow of some pics taken during my jump!
If you prefer to see the pics and videos at your own pace, click over here! You will find some videos/pics of the taking off and landing from a plane where I was the co-pilote as well!
Enjoy! ;-)
